An emerging glass artist, John is an eternal student of the art and science of glass. Primarily working in offhand style glassblowing, he is also well versed in flameworking techniques. He considers glass, much like music, to be 'art of the moment'... a performance frozen in time.
With nearly two decades of teaching experience in the technical and engineering fields, John has a knack for explaining complex ideas in a way that anyone can understand. He is Tink's co-instructor, and former teaching assistant at the Toledo Museum of Art's School of Art and Design.
John lives in Toledo Ohio's historic Old West End, sharing his life with Tink - the love of his life, two dogs, three cats and a very exuberant Moluccan cockatoo, Cosmo. |
